There are two types of CZ 457 rimfire magazines when it comes to materials: polymer and steel. And surprisingly enough, as long as the magazines are 22 LR caliber, you can run them in CZ rimfires even 60 years old. But later more about that.
Types of CZ 457 magazines in 22 LR caliber
CZ continously expands the range of products. As of today, you can find 6 different types of magazines for CZ 457 22 LR models:
-
5 round polymer magazine
-
10 round polymer magazine
-
15 round polymer magazine

Compatibility of CZ 457 magazines
CZ rimfires are well known for its quality. Afterall, even today you can find CZ [Brno] rimfires produced 60 years ago, and they still run as if they left the production line just yesterday. What may be little more troublesome is where to get these old magazines for the old rimfires.
Luckily, over the decades the housing for 22 LR magazines did not change in CZ. Thanks to that, you will be still able to run new produced magazines that are designed to work in CZ 457 on older CZ rimfires as well.
Thus all these magazines are compatible with following models:
-
CZ 457
-
CZ 512
-
CZ 455
-
CZ 453
-
CZ 452
-
ZKM 456
-
ZKM 452
-
ZKM 451
-
CZ Brno mod. 1
-
CZ Brno mod. 2
-
etc.
Remember though, this applies only to 22 LR rimfire magazines. When it comes to 22 WMR / Magnum, the housing is different for older models and new magazines are not compatible.
Other useful accessories
Except of getting extra magazines, most CZ 457 owners also like to get better bolt knobs, robust scope rings that get installed directly to the dovetail without the need of scope base, or scope base [picatinny rail] to accomodate any picatinny scope rings (in case the rifle is not equipped with one from production). Also very popular are compensators - those differ based on the type of barrel: American (thin) or Varmint (thick). And if your rimfire has different thread, you can just rethread the compensator to make it fit.
