The stock connects the shooter with the firearm. As the main ergonomic element, it determines how you will aim, shoot, how you will manage recoil, and how you will feel physically after a long shooting session. A factory stock may not suit everyone. Therefore, there is the option to replace the stock and thus adapt it to your physique and needs.
Compatibility with the firearm
Stocks, unlike some other accessories (for example,
slings or
bolt knobs),
are not universally applicable to all models. We have therefore divided them according to the individual currently produced CZ models into 3 categories:
Materials used depend on the model
When we talk about CZ Rifles, we mainly mean the CZ 457 rimfire rifles, CZ 600 centerfire rifles, and the tactical CZ Scorpion and CZ Bren 2 models. Each of these models has its specific circle of users and is suitable for something different. They differ in the materials used right from production, and it is no different with aftermarket accessories.
-
For CZ 457 rimfire rifles, we most often encounter lightweight polymer stocks, or wooden ones.
-
For CZ 600 centerfire rifles, wood dominates.
-
For CZ Scorpion EVO and Bren 2 tactical models, lightweight polymer combined with duralumin is used.
3 types of stocks by compactness
Folding stocks
Folding stocks have a joint that allows the firearm to be folded into very compact dimensions.
You will appreciate this:
-
when shooting in confined spaces,
-
during transport,
-
during storage in a safe.
With the stock folded, the firearm often fits even into an ordinary backpack.
The CZ Scorpion and CZ Bren tactical models are usually equipped with a folding stock as standard, as it is expected that you will need to operatively change the dimensions of the firearm according to the situation.
In our offer, you will mainly find folding stocks made of polymer with a durable duralumin joint, which ensures maximum strength while remaining lightweight.
Some folding stocks also offer the option of length adjustability: for example,
the folding stock for the CZ Scorpion can be both extended and folded at the same time. You can thus easily adapt it to your physique or change its length depending on whether, for example, you are wearing a bulletproof vest.
Collapsible stocks
Collapsible stocks consist of a tube, a slider, and a butt plate. They allow for the most precise length adjustment for the needs of specific shooters, taking into account arm length and various clothing (thick jacket, tactical vest, etc.).
Thanks to the flexible adjustment, one rifle can be easily shared by multiple shooters, who can adapt the stock length to themselves.
Fixed stocks
They do not allow for any length adjustment except for the attachment of an extended stock butt pad. However, what may sound like a disadvantage is a very key benefit for certain types of shooting.
A fixed stock provides the greatest stability and rigidity of the firearm. The absence of joints and joints ensures that there is not even the slightest play in the stock. It provides a firm and steady cheek rest and distributes recoil very well.
Fixed stocks are used by hunters, long-range shooters, sport shooters, and snipers – disciplines where accuracy is the highest value.
AR 15 Adapter – what is it for?
A very popular spacer that allows you to attach any AR-15 platform stock to a CZ model. On one side, it fits your firearm, and on the other side, you install a tube onto which you slide your chosen stock. Easy and lightweight.
Can I replace the stock myself?
Yes, you can do it at home.
The Bren 2 and Scorpion models both have an extremely simple mechanism for attaching the stock to the frame. Just press the locking button and slide in the new stock.
In the case of the CZ 457 and CZ 600 models, we recommend following the instructions.
