Scope rings - the dovetail type - are mounted directly onto the dovetail of the CZ rifle. Dovetail scope rings allow you to install the scope directly to the rifle - without need of extra picatinny rail.
Installing a scope on the firearm will enhance the shooting experience, increase shooting accuracy, and allow for better targeting even at greater distances.
If your CZ is equipped with a picatinny rail, you will not be looking for dovetail rings - you will need to get picatinny-type scope rings instead.
How to mount dovetail scope rings on a CZ 457
What will you need:
- Dor screwdriver
- T10 and T25 bits
Step by step guide:
- Ensure you have an empty chamber.
- Proceed to unscrew every screw you see on the rings.
- Once all screws are out, slide the bottom halves of the rings onto the dovetail and tighten them to the recommended torque specification, which is between 2 and 2.5 Newton meters.
- Place the scope in the desired position and loosely screw in the upper halves of the rings. Now you have the flexibility to adjust the scope's position to your liking.
- Once the scope is correctly positioned, tighten the screws to the recommended torque settings (2 - 2.5 Nm).
- I recommend tightening in a cross pattern to distribute the pressure evenly, just like when you tighten the wheel nuts on a car.
- You’re done!
