Once you get an optics ready CZ Shadow 2 models - whether CZ Shadow 2 OR, CZ Shadow 2 Compact or CZ Shadow Orange oR - you need also to get a matching plate.
The most popular by far is the plate from CZ that accomodates the Trijicon RMR footprint and in this article we will explain which red dots can be installed to this plate. Because, it is by far not just Trijicon RMR red dot that can be installed to it.

We listed them just to make it easier for customers to find the matching plate. Since the RMR plate is much more accustomed, one may be having difficult times finding out that this plate also works with Holosun 507C, 407C etc. So we just made it into two plates. It is indeed just one product thoguh.
Compatibility of the CZ Shadow 2 OR & Shadow 2 Compact Trijicon RMR optic plate

Trijicon RMR footprint
The RMR footprint is set by two pins in the front and two screw holes in the rear center of the plate.
If you would like to double check if your red dot may share its footprint, note that the front sockets are 22.5mm or 0.89 inch far from each other (measured from the socket center). And the screw holes in the red dot are 18.8mm or 0.74 inch far from each other. Also measured from the center of the screw hole.
Size of the footprint
The RMR footprint is one of the larger ones. For that reason its considered very popular for full size models (in the case of this optic plate it would be CZ Shadow 2 OR or CZ Shadow 2 Orange OR).
For CZ Shadow 2 Compact on the other hand we rather recommend going for red dots with smaller footprint, so that the smaller red dot also matches the compact dimensions of this model.
Despite that, the RMR footprint is still the most popular one for Shadow 2 Compact too. However, very popular is also the CZ Shadow 2 OR plate wth Holosun K-series footprint since the K-series footprint works not only with Holosun 407K and 507K, but also the EPS and EPS Carry models.
