What is a frame mount good for?

1. Space for additional accessories

Thanks to the frame mount on the bottom of the pistol frame, you can install additional accessories – for example, a thumb rest or a picatinny rail (some can also be found in this category). A flashlight or laser can then be attached to the picatinny rail.

The thumb rest functions as a thumb support and helps to manually correct the muzzle flip of the pistol during firing.

2. Added weight

Additional weight in the front part of the firearm reduces muzzle flip and recoil.

Depending on how much weight you want to add, choose between aluminum and brass mounts. Brass ones are heavier. You can find the specific weight for each item.

Can I install the frame mount myself?

Yes, you can manage the installation of this type of mounts yourself without a gunsmith. There is no need to interfere with the pistol frame; it is not a permanent modification, and you can remove the frame mount or exchange it for another at any time.

You slide the frame mount onto the rail in the direction from the muzzle towards the trigger. It is then secured in place by Allen screws or screws in the body of the frame mount, which fit precisely into the slots in the rail on the pistol.
