What Kadet magazines can you find here?

In our selection, you will find 10-round magazines for the following firearms:
  • CZ Shadow 2 Kadet,
  • CZ P-07 Kadet,
  • CZ 75 SP-01 Kadet,
  • CZ P-09 Kadet.
Compatibility of individual magazines is listed directly for each product. Always choose a magazine specifically for your CZ model, as compatibility among Kadet models is not as variable as it is for full-size versions of the firearms.

How a magazine works and what can be improved

A magazine consists of several main parts. Each has its specific purpose, and some can be replaced to improve the firearm’s performance:
  • Body: the main part that holds the cartridges, usually made of polymer, aluminum, or steel.
  • Spring: pushes the follower upward inside the magazine body and thus feeds cartridges into the chamber. It is the component most prone to wear—its tension decreases over time, which can cause feeding issues.
  • Follower: the plastic part on top of the spring on which the cartridges rest.
  • Base pad: holds the spring and follower inside the magazine body. Shooters often replace this part. Why?
    • Improved durability upon impact,
    • Better weight distribution—where a heavier base pad improves weapon handling by balancing the weight,
    • Increased magazine capacity,
    • Possible ergonomic features for a more comfortable grip.

Why consider getting a new magazine?

There are several reasons why you might want to purchase a new magazine:
  • Wear and tear: even if you clean your magazine regularly, it is a consumable part and subject to wear. A new magazine guarantees quality and reliability.
  • Damage: rough handling, drops, or pressure can cause damage.
  • More magazines = more comfort: usually, your firearm comes with two magazines. Constantly reloading them—especially during training or competition—can slow you down. It is much more convenient and efficient to have several magazines that you can reload easily.

Magazine maintenance tips

Proper maintenance extends the magazine’s lifespan and ensures its reliability.

Cleaning

Clean the magazine after every training session, competition and use.
Disassemble it according to the manual and wipe the body and base pad free of dust, gunpowder residue and excess lubricant. Clean the inside of the body, follower and spring with a soft brush or cloth.

Lubrication

Use a quality lubricant and apply it in a thin layer. Excess grease unnecessarily attracts dust.

Storage

Store magazines in a dry and dark place.
If you do not use the magazine for a longer period, store it unloaded to avoid unnecessary stress on the spring.

Pre-use inspection

Check that the base pad is not cracked and that it seats properly. Inspect the spring and follower.

Multiple magazines

If you have several magazines, they should be rotated regularly. It is useful to have several spare springs on hand.
