The line of polymer P‑10 models includes full‑size versions for sport shooting as well as compact models suitable for EDC.
The base pad is the part of the magazine located on its bottom side. It is usually made of plastic or metal (brass, aluminum, steel). If you choose well when replacing it, you can better adapt any of the models to your needs. What can you improve, and how should you choose?
If you decide to equip the firearm with a
magwell, you won’t be able to avoid replacing the base pad, because the factory one does not allow the magwell to be installed.

Base pads for CZ models can be divided into three main groups:

CZ 75–type base pads – for CZ P01, CZ Shadow 2, CZ SP-01, CZ 75, CZ 75 Compact

CZ TS–type base pads – for CZ TS 2 (CZ TS 2 Orange, CZ TS 2 Racing Green & others) and CZ Tactical Sports models (CZ 75 Tactical Sports, CZ TS Orange, CZ TS Czechmate)

Base pads for polymer models – for CZ P10 models (except CZ P10M, which uses a thinner magazine), CZ P07, and CZ P09
You are currently interested in polymer models. Base pads in this group do not all look the same, but they are mutually compatible—meaning they will fit all of the listed models.
Note: Compatibility generally corresponds to
magazine compatibility. If a certain magazine type fits several CZ models, the base pads designed for that magazine type will typically be compatible as well.
Why replace the base pad on your CZ and which one to choose
When you are clear about what fits your CZ, you can start considering further criteria for the selection.
Faster magazine release
The higher weight of the magazine helps it drop out as quickly as possible after pressing the release lever. A metal base pad or one with increased capacity adds extra grams. The increased weight also contributes to better stability during shooting.
In dynamic sport shooting as well as with a duty firearm, you will greatly appreciate the speed and smoothness.
Higher durability
Metal base pads absorb impact on the ground better and protect the magazine body from damage.
Increased capacity
Some base pads serve to increase the magazine capacity. The number of additional rounds is indicated by the „xrnd“ marking in the product description. The capacity can be increased by up to 8 rounds.
Legal restrictions
In some countries, magazine capacity is limited by legislation. In such cases, you will likely have a “pinned”/restricted magazine. It is restricted from the top, and you cannot increase its capacity in any way. The magazine, however, will be visually extended.
Better grip during reloading
Some base pads are specifically shaped to significantly improve ergonomics (for example, this
original aluminum base pad). The more contoured and pronounced they are, the better you can grip them during reloading. However, you will notice an improvement in ergonomics with any base pad in our offer.
Magwell installation
If you decide to install a magwell, its mounting will be obstructed by the front part of the base pad, so you will need to replace it with one that is compatible with a magwell.

TIP: Together with the magwell, you also need to install short grips.
Aesthetics
The base pad is visible at first glance, and therefore you can use it to complement the appearance of your firearm and adapt it to your preference. You can style it thanks to different shapes or colors. Aluminum ones are produced in many color variants that satisfy even the highest user demands.
Material
Our customers favor aluminum base pads the most because they combine sufficient durability, reasonable weight, and affordability.
Other shooters, on the other hand, primarily look for polymer because they want to reduce the weight of their firearm.
Can I replace the base pad myself?
Yes, you can replace it yourself without the help of professionals.

When removing the base pad, proceed carefully so the spring and follower do not pop out.
TIP: If your firearm has the basepag permanently pressed on, it is better to leave its replacement to a gunsmith.
