But the optics ready CZ P-10 models have the dovetail cut moved further to back of the slide and thus the rear sights for classic CZ P-10 then hangs over the slide if mounted to optics ready variant.

Sights for optics ready models as a backup for red dot
Cowitness sights work as a backup for red dot optics.
Because electronic devices [which red dot sight is] does not have to work in 100% of the cases, there are also the classic sights as a backup. Because those do work in 100% of cases.
So in case anything happens to your red dot, you will be still able to use your handgun.
Cowtiness with fiber optic sights, tritium sights or blank sights?
This is purely up to you and the purposes for which you want to use the gun.
Fiber optic has great visibility in good light conditions but not so much in dark.
On the other hand tritium has great visibility in dark conditions but not so much in good light conditions.
Selection of red dot sight
Keep in mind that not all red dot sights are made in the same low dimensions. Thus for example cowitness sights that work with Trijicon RMR or Holosun 507C do not necessarily have to work with Vortex Venom red dot.
Why? Because the red dot can be larger and thus you may not be able to see through it on the sights.
So if you plan to use red dot, make sure to select from such that are not exceeding the slide too much with their body.

What if I have classic version of CZ P-10?
In case you bought classic CZ P10 (or optics ready variant was not existent - as in case of CZ P10F .45 ACP) you may be happy to find out that you still can install a red dot to your CZ. Only it will not be to slide cut, but as a replacement of rear sight.
