Customize a smaller version of the competition special for EDC according to your needs
Compared to the full size CZ Shadow 2 model, shooters purchase its compact version when they do not want to give up the precise craftsmanship of a competition special and at the same time want to have a companion for EDC and concealed carry. It is also popular in certain competition disciplines, even though it is significantly lighter and smaller. It is sought after especially by those who do not care for polymer pistols but want a lighter firearm with sophisticated ergonomics.
The smaller model has its own specifics (shorter barrel and grip, lower weight, smaller magazine capacity, etc.) and you will likely tune it based on these features.
What accessories for CZ Shadow 2 Compact you can find here
For both the upgrade and service of your firearm, you can choose from a wide selection of original and aftermarket accessories from leading manufacturers such as Eemann Tech, Toni System, Zendl, or Armanov.
We have divided the accessories into several categories for you to make navigation easier:
Optics and sights
The CZ Shadow 2 Compact model is always optics ready. This means it has a slide cut machined into the slide for mounting a
red dot. By replacing the cover plate with an
optic plate, you get a platform for installing a red dot.
When choosing an optic plate, make sure it has a footprint corresponding to your red dot. According to our experience, the most popular footprint for the CZ Shadow 2 Compact model is the Shield RMSc footprint, but there are many others. Check compatibility with yours in the item description.
However, you can also decide that you do not want to shoot with a red dot and prefer to stick with classic iron sights. If the factory ones are not enough for you, you can replace them with others. The advantage is that
this compact model also fits the same sights used for the full size CZ Shadow 2 model. These are often sporty and fully adjustable.
Ergonomics
The CZ Shadow 2 Compact has a shorter grip, so you need smaller grips than for the full size model. In the
Grips for CZ Shadow 2 Compact category, you will find
grips directly designed for this model.
Lightweight aluminium grips in various colors and with different textures are popular. In the offer, you can also find brass grips, which add weight to the lower part of the firearm and help to better manage recoil.
Recoil is a bigger topic for the small model than for the heavy competition special. A
thumb rest will also help you manage it. Thanks to it, you create a lever with your thumb to push the barrel down, so it does not deflect as much from the line of sight after a shot. You can find thumb rests as well as other special accessories, including the
DPM recoil springs set, which overall contributes to a smoother operation of the firearm, in the
Unique parts for CZ Shadow 2 Compact category.
Base pads
Compatibility of
base pads goes hand in hand with magazine compatibility. Although this model comes standard with a 15rnd magazine,
a longer magazine from the standard CZ Shadow 2 can also be inserted into it. The only disadvantage is that it will protrude from the grip, which is not entirely aesthetic, but at the shooting range you will probably be more interested in the possibility of more shots without reloading.
You can also increase the magazine capacity by installing a
base pad with extended capacity. In the
Mag pads for CZ Shadow 2 Compact category, you will find a large selection of
many color and capacity variants made of aluminium and brass.
Carrying and maintenance
Unlike its full size sister, the CZ Shadow 2 Compact is very often used for all-day and concealed carry.
IWB holsters (for carrying on the inside of the pants) are therefore much more popular. However, you can also find
OWB holsters in the offer. Most
holsters are made of kydex.
Even if you do not decide to tune your firearm, some internal parts are subject to wear and tear or can roll away during disassembly. For these cases, visit the
Spare parts for CZ Shadow 2 Compact category, where you will find parts marked with a number from the exploded view in the firearm manual.
