CZ Shadow 2 – for those who take sport shooting seriously

The CZ Shadow 2 is one of the top-tier firearms sought after by sport shooters around the world. Its all-metal construction makes it a robust, modern pistol with a long service life, even under extreme use. Due to its build, it is better suited for open carry on the range than for concealed carry or self-defense.

It follows up on the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow model, improving ergonomics, accuracy, and speed. For the CZ Shadow 2, you can find a wide range of aftermarket accessories such as sightsmagazines, or magwells.

When to choose a short grip

In this category, you'll find only short grips for the CZ Shadow 2, which are used when your firearm is equipped with a magwell. For pistols without a magwell, look for a compatible grip in the Long Grips for CZ Shadow 2 category.

Why can't I use a long grip with a magwell?

Installing a magwell shortens the available space for the grip. That’s why only short grips are compatible with magwells.

What does installing a magwell on a CZ Shadow 2 bring?

Sport shooters choose to install a magwell because it:
  • Increases the weight of the firearm
  • Expands the magazine well opening
As a result, it:
  • Improves the weapon’s balance and stability, leading to more controlled shooting
  • Speeds up and simplifies reloading, even under pressure
If you purchased the CZ Shadow 2 as a recreational firearm and don’t plan to compete, the magwell will mainly offer visual appeal, with no major practical benefits.

What short grips can you choose from in our offer?

In our selection, you’ll find both original CZ grips and grips from leading firearms accessory manufacturers, such as European brands Toni System and Eemann Tech, or the American brand LOK.

By material

Different grip materials not only vary in weight, but also in durability. Here’s an overview to help you choose what suits you best:

Aluminum

Pros: lightweight, available in various shapes, colors, and surface finishes
Cons: less scratch-resistant, absorbs less recoil,
Recommended for: sport shooting (when a lighter setup is preferred), self-defense, EDC

Polymer

Pros: lightweight, impact and corrosion-resistant, budget-friendly and low maintenance
Cons: less premium look
Recommended for: EDC, self-defense, beginners

Brass

Pros: durable and resistant to deformation, distributes weight well and improves grip, enhances stability and provides excellent recoil feedback , aesthetically pleasing
Cons: heavier and more expensive
Recommended for: sport shooting where control and precision are key

By size

The standard grip fits an average-sized hand. If it doesn’t feel right, you can replace it with a wider or slimmer version to adjust the overall grip size and make the gun feel more natural in your hand.

Wider (3D) profile

  • Better suited for shooters with larger hands
  • Improves hand-to-weapon contact, resulting in more stable shots and better recoil management
  • Adds comfort and reduces fatigue, especially during longer shooting sessions
For these reasons, 3D grips are preferred mainly by sport shooters. If this sounds like you, take a look at this grip from Toni System.

Slimmer profile

A slim grip is useful for concealed carry or if you're aiming for a more compact weapon size. However, due to its larger frame, the CZ Shadow 2 is generally not suitable for concealed carry. A slimmer grip is mostly recommended if you have smaller hands, the gun feels too bulky, or you have trouble reaching the trigger.

Some manufacturers offer grips in all three widths. You can choose the right thickness [for example here – grips by Armanov] for your most comfortable hold.
