The classic sights in this category can be used on both the standard CZ Shadow 2 model and the optic-ready version (including CZ Shadow 2 Compact).
There is a wide variety of sights for CZ Shadow 2 models. Most of them focus on sport shooting, as CZ Shadow 2 models are very popular among competition shooters. Because of this focus, the sights are fully adjustable in height and laterally, adapting to a wide range of conditions and specific firearms.
What to consider before choosing the right sight
When choosing sights, consider the following factors:
Replace the entire sight set or just the rear sight?
It depends on whether you are satisfied with the factory front sight. If you are, you can just replace the rear sight. CZ Shadow 2 models use the same height for factory front sights as aftermarket sights. This is a great advantage over other CZ models.
If you are happy with the front sight, you only need to look for a rear sight and do not need to replace the entire sight set.
What sights to choose?
If you are not looking for a specific type of sight, we recommend selecting full fiber optic sights – both in the rear sight and the front sight.
From our experience and customer feedback, having a color contrast between the fibers in the rear sight and front sight, as well as different fiber diameters, is most appreciated. A combination of 1mm fiber in the rear sight, which is closer to the eye, and 1.5mm fiber in the front sight, which is further away, provides the ideal difference for comfortable aiming.
If you prefer the variant with fiber optics only in the front sight, a 1mm diameter fiber is sufficient.
Everything depends on your personal preference and experience.
What to do with the front sight when you mount a red dot?
The popularity of red dots among shooters is growing due to their ease of aiming.
Once you mount a red dot plate, you can no longer use the rear sight for aiming. The same applies if you do not have an optic-ready CZ Shadow 2, since you will need to replace the rear sight with one of the red dot mounts for CZ Shadow 2 to install the red dot.
But what about the front sight, which loses its function then? A front sight filler elegantly solves this.
Is there a difference in sights for classic and optic ready CZ Shadow 2 models?
With CZ Shadow 2 models, the dovetail cut is the same for both classic models and CZ Shadow 2 Optics Ready, CZ Shadow 2 Compact, and CZ Shadow 2 Orange OR. The cut on the Optics Ready slide removes the entire part of the slide that holds the rear sight.
For all these models, you can use classic, fully adjustable sights with fiber optics without any restrictions.
Exceptions – pay attention when ordering if you have the "orange" model
The "Orange" model has the same sight height, and the rear sight is exactly the same. However, the front sight uses a different mounting mechanism. Instead of a pin, the front sight uses a screw that is fastened from the top.
To fit the sights on the CZ Shadow 2, you need to replace the front sight installed with a pin with one that installs with a screw. Don't worry, we have the correct front sights in stock.
When ordering, simply write in the comment that you have the Shadow 2 Orange model. We will ensure you receive the appropriate front sight.
