The thumb rest will help improve your shooting results. How? It allows for better control over the weapon with regard to recoil. Thanks to this, you can effectively regulate the recoil and muzzle flip by pushing the front of the weapon down.

How thumb rest works

It minimizes barrel movement after the shot and the disruption of the point of aim. This will save you valuable seconds in a race.

The weapon is easier to hold. The thumb rest improves ergonomics and the grip of the weapon. It is not as cramped and shooting is overall more comfortable for you.

Choose according to the model

Shooters most often purchase thumb rests for their sport weapons, and therefore you will find thumb rests for CZ TS 2, CZ Czechmate & TSO, CZ Shadow 2 models and various models from the CZ 75 series in our selection. You can verify compatibility with the model in the description of each item.

Different types of rests

Different types of thumb rests provide support for a different thumb and thus allow for controlling the behavior of the weapon in different ways. It depends on what fits your hand better and also on the type of weapon.

Slide stop with thumb rest

A sought-after type for CZ TS 2 and CZ Shadow 2. You simply replace the slide stop with a new one with an integrated rest. It requires no modifications to the frame. This type provides support for the right thumb.

Thumb rests for the frame or for the side mount

These thumb rests are mounted either to the side mount or a hole must be drilled for them directly into the frame. If you decide to drill into the frame, rather entrust the mount to a gunsmith.

A separate thumb rest provides support for the left thumb. Thanks to its placement further in the front part, you gain greater leverage and thus influence the behavior of the weapon even more effectively.

Models CZ 75 TS Czechmate and CZ 75 TS Orange (TSO) and CZ TS 2 Racing Green/Deep Bronze already have holes for the thumb rest drilled into the frame. You just need to check the screw spacing and you do not have to drill into the frame.

What angle to choose?

As is often the case with accessories, there is no single correct choice. Choose a slope that better fits your natural grip.

Smaller angles

The support is flatter (more parallel to the barrel). It fits shooters with longer fingers and those who naturally hold the weapon with the thumb extended forward.

Larger angles

The support is steeper. It fits shooters who naturally bend their thumb more. This position allows for more pressure to be applied against the muzzle flip, thus improving control over the weapon.

Can I handle the mount myself?

It depends on which thumb rest you choose. Certainly entrust drilling into the frame to a gunsmith. You can mount the rest combined with the slide stop yourself by simply replacing the relevant part.
