How to install the recoil spring on CZ Scorpion Evo
What will you need:
- 2 mm punch [5/64 inch]
Step by step guide:
- Ensure the chamber is empty and leave the bolt open.
- Press out the retaining pin and remove the lower receiver.
- It is recommended to hold the charging handle in place to prevent the bolt from dropping.
- Slightly push the bolt back to remove it.
- Connect the included cable ties to form a large loop.
- Compress the spring and secure it in place with the cable tie loop, revealing the small detent spring with the pin.
- Use the 2 mm punch (5/64 inch) to punch the pin out.
- Remove the cap at the end and take off the ties.
- Remove the original spring and install the new one.
- Once again, compress the spring and reattach the ties.
- Replace the cap and tap the pin back into place.
- Remove the ties and check that everything is functioning correctly.
- When reinserting the bolt, hold the charging handle for safety.
- Reattach the lower receiver, and you’re done.
