We offer original CZ grips as well as grips from other top european & american manufacturers.
Short grips are designed to work together with magwell [see magwell guide article]. If you need grips to work without magwell, check long grips instead.

When to choose a short grip

Short grips should only be considered if you are using a magwell on your firearm. From the factory, only some CZ TS 2 models come equipped with a magwell (and even those can be removed). No other CZ models include a magwell as standard.

If you’re not planning to use a magwell, look for long grips instead.

Why can't I use long grips with a magwell?

Installing a magwell reduces the available space for grips. As a result, only short grips are compatible with magwell-equipped pistols.

Should I use a magwell?

That depends entirely on your intended use of the firearm. A magwell speeds up and simplifies reloading, but it also adds weight and bulk to the gun.

YES:

Magwells are most commonly used by sport shooters (e.g., in IPSC, IDPA, USPSA, LOS, etc.), where speed and precision matter. The added weight improves balance and stability, and the flared magazine well facilitates faster reloads under pressure.

NO:

If you’re buying a gun for EDC or self-defense, a magwell likely won’t offer significant advantages. In these scenarios, you'll benefit more from a lighter, more compact firearm than from faster reloads or improved balance.

Important: Compact ≠ short grips

We've occasionally seen customers request short grips for their CZ Compact models (e.g., CZ P-01, CZ 75 Compact, or CZ Shadow 2 Compact) despite not using a magwell. The logic seems to be: compact model = short grip. That’s not the case.

For CZ P-01 and CZ 75 Compact, we offer both long and short grips, depending on whether you plan to use a magwell.

For the CZ Shadow 2 Compact, only long grips are currently available.

Short grip compatibility

All CZ models with interchangeable long grips can be grouped into:

Full-size CZ models
Compact CZ models

The good news is that grips are generally interchangeable within the same size group.

For example:

CZ Shadow 2 grips will also fit the CZ 75B, CZ SP-01, and CZ TS 2 (provided the magwell is removed).

CZ P-01 grips are compatible with the CZ 75 Compact and CZ 75 D Compact. These models share the same grip category in our store.

By material

Different grip materials not only vary in weight, but also in durability. Here’s an overview to help you choose what suits you best:

Aluminum

Pros: lightweight, available in various shapes, colors, and surface finishes

Cons: less scratch-resistant, absorbs less recoil,

Recommended for: sport shooting (when a lighter setup is preferred), self-defense, EDC

Polymer

Pros: lightweight, impact and corrosion-resistant, budget-friendly and low maintenance

Cons: less premium look

Recommended for: EDC, self-defense, beginners

Brass

Pros: durable and resistant to deformation, distributes weight well and improves grip, enhances stability and provides excellent recoil feedback , aesthetically pleasing

Cons: heavier and more expensive

Recommended for: sport shooting where control and precision are key

Grip compatibility depends primarily on your firearm model. We offer short grips for the following CZ pistols:

By size

Grip thickness also plays a major role in comfort and control. Factory grips are designed for an average hand size and may not suit everyone.

Shooters with larger hands often opt for short grips with a 3D profile, such as those by Toni System.

Shooters with smaller hands may prefer thinner grips, which are also ideal for concealed carry or reducing the firearm’s overall profile.

Some manufacturers offer grips in multiple widths, so you can choose the one that fits your hand best. For example, Armanov short grips are available in three sizes.
